Before becoming an Independent Educational Consultant, my work was focused on higher education administration, strategic planning, budgeting, cross-cultural training, student success, advocacy, team-building, management, coalition-building, and advising. I am also engaged in an ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion facilitation training program through VISIONS and have been involved in non-profit board leadership in my local community in New Orleans. International Program Support
Having worked in international education leadership for 15+ years at both public and private universities, I know firsthand the challenges that international offices face in trying to get their work done, from shifting immigration requirements to important compliance responsibilities to the pressing needs of international students and scholars. I have delivered trainings on a variety of topics in the university setting from cross-cultural adjustment to best practices in the field of international education to how to engage in immigration advocacy.

After 7 years leading strategic planning for the Office of International Students and Scholars at Tulane University, I learned that I excel in the facilitation of team-building and strategic planning. I know what elements make a strategic planning process successful and how to facilitate in a way that helps teams connect with one another through a shared vision and values.

Given my nomadic upbringing in which I was often an outsider, I have long been focused on creating a sense of belonging and connection across difference. I can support your team-building efforts by helping you design opportunities for connection and belonging as a part of day-to-day office life and/or planning specific team-building events and group activities.
College Counseling & Transition to College Group Workshops
Successfully applying to college these days is a complicated process and, once a student is admitted, preparing for the transition to college can help set them up for success. Workshops on these topics can be geared toward students and/or their families, community groups or folks who work with students applying to college.
